Day Trip to Taliesin and House on the Rock

Join us for a chartered deluxe motorcoach day trip to Spring Green, WI to tour Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin home & gardens followed by a Prairie Style Buffet luncheon in a private room.  In the afternoon, we will also visit House on the Rock to explore the unique house, Asian garden, Streets of Yesterday, the amazing Music of Yesterday machines, Carousel Room, and Galleries with diverse collections.

Taliesin is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site.  Our morning visit to the Taliesin estate is an intimate look at the 70-year career of one of America’s greatest architects, Frank Lloyd Wright.

Our afternoon visit to nearby House on the Rock provides time to see Alex Jordan’s dream house overlooking a scenic valley built atop a chimney of rock, which he opened to the public in 1960.  Over the years, Alex expanded his vision beyond the House and collected and built two additional exhibition areas on the property.

Wear your comfortable walking shoes!  Attendees will encounter stairs, paved surfaces, stone steps, crushed gravel paths, and grassy lawns on this day trip adventure departing from Davenport and Moline.  When visiting each of the two venues, you will be standing and walking while exploring for up to two hours in the morning and also in the afternoon.  For example, on the 2-hour House & Gardens morning guided tour at Taliesin, you’ll be seated for about 15 minutes while visiting the home’s living room but during most of our private group tour you’ll be walking short distances and standing for the majority of the time as your guide escorts you through other rooms of the Taliesin home and continues on outside visiting the home’s beautiful gardens.  After lunch, the afternoon admission to the House on the Rock venue is a self-guided experience that allows you to pick and choose all or a portion of this popular attraction’s three areas as you explore.

The June 20 day trip’s cost is $200/person, which includes all admissions, lunch, and chartered deluxe motorcoach transportation.  Click HERE to view and print the event’s Registration Form.  If you don’t have print capability, legibly print the requested information for registration on a blank sheet of paper for mailing.

Complete the registration form and issue a check payable to “Quad City Plus 60 Club” for $200.00/person.  Please print “Spring Green 6/20” on the Memo line of your check payment.  Registrations must be received by Saturday, June 8, 2024.  The day trip’s itinerary and a confirmation of your reservation will be sent beginning at the end of May through June 10, via email or by mailing the information to you.
