Time to Wine Down at Tycoga

Are you ready for a day of adventure and fun?  If you’ve never been to Tycoga Vineyard and Winery near DeWitt, Iowa, or you would like to go again, now is the time!  Your Plus 60 Club has planned a day at Tycoga with a tour, wine tasting, and lunch on Thursday, June 17.  Since Tycoga is near-by (about 25 minutes driving north from Davenport on highway US-61), it’s a drive-yourself destination.  Please arrive by 11:00am to start our tour followed by the wine tasting and lunch.  We should conclude our day about 2:00pm, but you may stay later and enjoy the outdoor landscape and surrounding countryside.   So, ask your friends and neighbors to tag along!  With somewhat limited parking, car-pooling is suggested!

A tour of Tycoga’s wine making facilities and vineyard awaits as we sample their hand-crafted wines.  With over 20 different wines from dry to sweet, their wide variety of mainly estate-produced wines allows them to showcase wines to both the novice and the experienced wine drinker.  It’s sure to be a wonderful day and all this for only $20 for members, which includes wine tasting, tour, wood-fired pizza lunch, taxes and gratuities.  The maximum number of people Tycoga can accommodate is 25.  So, Click HERE to view and print the Registration Form with more details.  Send in your registration and check payment soon as this fun event is sure to be a “sell out” before we reach the registration deadline of Wednesday, June 9th.

Tycoga Vineyard and Winery is located on a quiet country setting, surrounded by the vineyard, at 2585 195th Street, DeWitt.  Drive north past DeWitt on U.S. Highway 61 for about 4.8 miles and turn left to exit the highway on to 195th Street to approach the Winery, which is visible from the highway.
