Live Music at Veterans Memorial Park

Your Quad City Plus 60 Club is introducing a new free event that your volunteer Board anticipates you will enjoy. We have reserved the Bill Bowe Bandshell Stage and nearby picnic shelter from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Veterans Memorial Park, 1645 23rd Street, Bettendorf, Iowa for a fun time!

Just pack up your own favorite beverages, lunch and/or snacks and head on over to the park. to hear Dave Ellis’ music performed live on the bandshell stage. You can choose to use a picnic table under the nearby Club-reserved picnic shelter or bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs to take advantage of the open lawn if you desire to “catch some rays” from the summer sun. Don’t forget to bring your sunglasses, sunscreen, and your best karaoke voice! No advance registration is needed for this Club event.

Before or after the event, why not also take advantage of the park’s amenities and access the adjoining Duck Creek Recreation Trail for a leisurely stroll or bike ride?

Please remember to practice social distancing, as well as always observe health safety protocols by wearing a mask when arriving, while you move about on the park grounds in the proximity of other people, and when departing the event. Masks can be removed when seated while enjoying beverages, food, and the performance.

In case of an inclement weather forecast on the day of the event, an alternate rain date has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at the same time and location. If the prevailing morning weather raises a question about whether the outdoor performance is being held as planned on Monday, August 31st, you can call our Club cell phone at (563) 370-4566 to hear a confirmation message if the event has been postponed to the Tuesday rain date.
