Galena Country Fair

Come join us for a day trip on Saturday, October 7, to the Galena, Illinois Country Fair. Our chartered Tri-State Travel deluxe motorcoach will begin boarding at the Quad-City Times building, 500 East 3rd Street, Davenport east parking lot at 8:00 a.m. for an 8:15 a.m. departure, and will begin boarding for the return trip from Galena at 4:30 p.m. for a 4:45 p.m. departure. Donuts, sweet rolls, and bottled water will be provided on the trip. Just bring your coffee or tea in a spill-proof cup with lid!
The Galena Country Fair is held annually on Columbus Day Weekend. It began as a few booths in Grant Park on a crisp fall weekend. Now more than forty years later, the fair boasts more than 100 hand-selected art, craft, and fine art vendors, selling high-quality, original, handmade items. Homemade décor, seasonal, clothing, jewelry, gifts, and more! There are festival food booths, family activities, and live entertainment!

Hungry? Stop in at one of the fair’s main food areas: Gazebo Garden, Vittle House, and Grab ‘n Go. You’ll find delightful treats and thirst-quenching beverages no matter the time of day.

People that have gone say they really love this country fair. So, what more could you ask for than a fun-filled Fall Day in Galena? However, keep in mind you will be doing a lot of walking outdoors, so wear comfortable walking shoes! The 3.5 acre Grant Park is across the Galena River from the historical downtown Galena shopping district and is accessible via a pedestrian bridge involving steps on both sides of the river and some uphill walking.

The non-refundable trip cost is $75 for members (which includes the driver’s tip). Non-members pay an additional $10 by choosing to register either as a guest under age 55 or by joining as a new member for a 3-year term if age 55 or older. You don’t want to miss out, so be sure to mail your registration with check payment by Friday, September 1, 2023.
