The Quad City Plus 60 Club welcomes Tommy Pickett and Friends to the Bill Bowe bandshell stage for a free live performance held 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 28, at Veterans Memorial Park, 1645 23rd Street, Bettendorf.
Tommy Pickett and Friends has performed for over forty-five years featuring country, dance, and bebop songs from the 50’s and 60’s.
Your Quad City Plus 60 Board extends its heartfelt appreciation to Financial Logic of Bettendorf for sponsoring the entire series of four Concert in the Park programs this year. Thanks go to Kevin Klute, owner of Financial Logic.
The large picnic shelter with plenty of picnic tables adjacent to the bandshell has been reserved for your use during the concert performance, or you’re invited to bring your favorite lawn chair or lawn blanket to view the concert from the spacious lawn in front of the bandshell. Bring along lunch, snacks, water, and/or your favorite non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy while listening to the concert performance.
Restrooms, picnic tables, water fountains and benches will be cleaned and sanitized. Trash cans for disposal are available for your use by the picnic shelter to support keeping the park beautiful. The courtesy and respect of concert attendees for everyone at the concert is greatly appreciated.
An audience member may be the lucky draw for a complimentary gift basket during the concert intermission.
In case of inclement weather on the day of the event, an alternate rain date has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 29, at the same time and location. If the prevailing morning weather raises a question about whether the outdoor performance is being held as planned on Monday, August 28, you can call our Club cell phone at 563-370-4566 to hear a confirmation message if the event has been postponed to the Tuesday rain date. If the weather is also inclement on the re-scheduled Tuesday rain date, the performance is cancelled.
Your Club’s volunteer board and officers look forward to meeting you at the concert!
