Chestnut Mountain Skiing

The outing is an opportunity for Quad-City Plus 60 Club members to venture out on the ski slopes. Chestnut Mountain has a wide range of slopes for all skill levels; five beginner slopes, eleven intermediate slopes, and three advanced slopes.
Members of the Ski Club or the Plus 60 Club who desire to participate can either meet at 7am north of the old Sears Automotive building at Northpark Mall to form a car pool that will leave at 7:15am for the resort. Alternatively, participants can drive directly up to the resort in their vehicles in time to arrive at Chestnut Mountain by 8:30am – 9:00am if you intend to rent equipment and/or sign up for a ski lesson. Lift tickets are $45 and ticket/equipment/lesson packages vary from $75 to $100 per person. Although the resort suggests buying your ticket online, there is no need until arriving as capacity is not reached during mid-week. Plan to meet by the ticket office area at 9:30am ready to ski.
You can change into your boots in the main lobby area and also by the lockers in the rental area. Individuals who are not Ski Club members will have to sign a waiver. There will be Ski Club personnel in the main lobby area. The resort’s restaurant will be open for breakfast (8am – 10am) and lunch (11am – 9 pm). The downstairs café is not open. Facemasks are required in the lodge, but not in the lift lines or on the slopes.
