Best of Wisconsin Dells Family Vaycay

We had such a tremendous response to our Grandparent’s trip to Chicago, Tri-State Travel and your Plus 60 Club has come up with another opportunity to bond with your grandchildren. What do you think about a 3-day trip from August 5 – 7, 2019, to one of the most fun places in the Midwest? I am talking about the Wisconsin Dells.
The first day of our adventure begins with a visit to the Circus World Museum! I have personally been amazed, and not in a good way, at how many of our children and grandchildren have never been to a circus! And, as you know, most all circuses have now gone by the wayside. I really think this is something all children should get to see. On our visit you will experience both historical and entertaining aspects of the Ringling Brothers Circus. There will be a live show under a Big Top Tent consisting of jugglers, clowns, horses, elephants and aerialists! You will also see many of the original circus wagons, costumes and other memorabilia before we head down the road to the Wisconsin Dells.
Upon our arrival we have arranged for a horse-drawn carriage ride of the Lost Canyon, a tour which encompasses cliff walled gorges. That night dinner is provided at the Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty. The fun begins when we enter the parking lot to an 1890’s logging camp atmosphere! After dinner we will experience the Dells Lumberjack Show, featuring lumberjack competitions and other extreme sports. This is fun for all.
After breakfast on Tuesday we have a date with a duck. The tour splashes into The Wisconsin River and Lake Delton, climbs over sandbars and travels over four miles of beautiful scenic wilderness. Late morning finds us arriving at Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park for the majority of our day. It features both an indoor and outdoor waterpark and amusement rides. Dinner is included that night prior to attending the Tommy Bartlett Water Ski Show, a real treat for all ages.
The following morning allows us a leisurely breakfast before our short drive to North Freedom, Wisconsin. Here we will spend the morning at the Mid-Continent Railway Museum. This is an outdoor, living museum with an operating railroad. The kids will love this! We will have a train ride, and lunch is included. Afterwards we board our own coach for the ride home. Tri-State has many different package rates available, depending on the number of people sharing a room. You are welcome to go as a single, or up to four people in a room.
