Winterset, Iowa & Bridges of Madison County Tour

Embark on this 2-day deluxe motorcoach tour to explore historic Winterset, Iowa and the Bridges of Madison County during the 30th Anniversary year of the iconic movie starring Meryl Streep & Clint Eastwood. We will depart on Thursday, May 15, 2025 and watch “The Bridges of Madison County” movie on our drive to Winterset, IA. This itinerary will be packed with sights and activities to keep us busy all day and into the evening. Some of the highlights are a privately guided tour of the Covered Bridges made famous in the movie, John Wayne’s Birthplace and Museum, Madison County Historical Complex with structures from the 1850’s, a hearty Iowa dinner by the Church Basement Ladies, a winery visit with wine tastings, a hedge maze, a limestone tower climb and even a farm visit with a floral tour and baby goat cuddling. We will be sure to squeeze in a little free time for exploring and shopping the historic courthouse square, too.
