The Quad City Symphony Orchestra continues its grand tradition of presenting the Masterworks of Gustav Mahler with Symphony No. 9. Completed shortly before his death, this four-movement work is often considered both his farewell and his most deeply personal score. The life and works of this popular Bohemian-Austrian conductor and composer will be discussed by Mark Russell Smith, music director and conductor.
