It’s live theater time! Once again, your Quad City Plus 60 Club is partnering with Playcrafters Barn Theatre, 4950 35th Avenue, Moline as they open their doors to Plus 60 members for a benefit performance Thursday, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. The play is by A. R. Gurney’s “Sylvia” directed by Kathy Graham.
Join your Plus 60 friends to enjoy this endearing tale. After 22 years of child-raising in the suburbs, Greg and Kate have moved to Manhattan. His career as a financial trader is winding down, while Kate’s career as an English teacher is opening up to new opportunities. One day, Greg brings home a stray dog he found in the park – or, more accurately, one that found him – bearing only the name “Sylvia” on her tag. It is love at first sight between man and dog, but Kate is not on board. She and Sylvia, a street-smart mix of Lab and poodle, battle for Greg’s affection in this comedic and touching show about the relationship we humans have with our pets. Join us to find out if Sylvia is successful at winning Kate’s love, too.
This performance is an exclusive benefit performance for Quad City Plus 60 members. Plus 60 is offering this event free to the first 220 club members to register. While COVID guidelines have been relaxed for the present time, Playcrafters will comply with the CDC’s recommendation at the time of the performance.
