Rockin’ n’ Rollin’ in July

The hot sounds of old-time rock n’ roll, presented by the Moline Activity Center (MAC), will kick off their summer concerts in July in Steven’s Square, adjacent to MAC, 620 18 St., Moline, 6:30-8:30pm. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, June’s concerts have been rescheduled for August.

So, bobby-soxers, be sure to mark Monday evening, July 13 on your calendar to enjoy the hot sounds of the Hotrods, a well-known Quad Cities’ “oldies” band. From the fabulous fifties, the first generation of rock n’ roll, through the ‘60s and ‘70s, loyal fans and newcomers alike will be rockin’ n’ rollin’, singing and tapping their toes to their bobby sox ‘50s favorites such as Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers, Big Bopper, Richie Valens, Dion, The Diamonds and more. The hits keep coming with the sounds of the ‘60s and ‘70s with The Beatles, The Temptations, Roy Orbison, The Beach Boys, Little River Band, The Eagles, Eddie Money, Journey, The Doobie Brothers, and Atlanta Rhythm Section.

Your Plus 60 Club will be a food co-sponsor as MAC volunteers serve up delicious brats, hot dogs and beverages for a small charge. Plus 60 Board members will be on hand with membership information and door prizes.

The outdoor concert is free! So, bring your lawn chairs and come out and enjoy an evening of music, fun, good food, and friends.
