We’re going to Wisconsin! Come join us for a fun summer day trip from the Quad Cities on Wednesday, July 24, to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin for an exclusive member lunch cruise on the Grand Belle sailing on beautiful Lake Geneva, followed by a guided tour of the historic Black Point Estate on the south bluff overlooking Lake Geneva.
Relax and enjoy all the scenic beauty of Lake Geneva. We’ll tour this spring-fed lake on the Grand Belle, while enjoying a lunch of roasted chicken served with garlic mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. Fresh fruit, rolls with butter, and apple crumb pie accompany the meal. A cash bar is available on board.
The Grand Belle of Geneva is designed after turn-of-the-century steamers, including brass furnishings and pine decks. She offers generous space with a cozy atmosphere. We’ve reserved the enclosed and climate-controlled main deck, so there’s no worries about the temperatures. Want to be outside? The Grand Belle offers the bow and stern for a fresh air option of viewing Lake Geneva.
After our 2-hour cruise we will board our chartered motorcoach with a step-on guide, who will lead us on a tour of Black Point Estate, which was built for Chicago Beer Baron Conrad Seipp in 1888 as a place to relax, refresh, and explore. Just like the Victorian VIPs who established the estate, you’ll enjoy this magnificent mansion, considered one of the finest examples of period architecture and furniture in the Midwest, and one of the oldest homes in Lake Geneva. The guided tour visits the first two floors of the mansion and the exterior grounds over approximately 1½ hours.
The cost of the trip is $180 per person including deluxe motorcoach transportation, the Grand Belle luncheon cruise, admission to Black Point, all gratuities, and taxes. Your day will begin in the Quad Cities at approximately 7:30 am and conclude back in the Quad Cities around 7:30 pm. Members can choose to park and board this trip in downtown Davenport or Moline. A detailed itinerary will be sent to registered passengers by July 12, via email or U.S. mail delivery.
