Fraud Prevention Seminar – What You Need to Know – POSTPONED

April 9, 2020 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

POSTPONED – TO BE RESCHEDULED
Have you received emails alerting you of a possible breach of an account? Or your Amazon account has been frozen and verification of your information is required now? You’re not alone. Email fraud, phone scams, and phony computer viruses are just a few of the many ways scammers create fear and bilk innocent people out of their money. It has been estimated that Seniors lose almost $2.9 billion annually from financial exploitation.

Plus 60, AARP, Northwest Bank and Trust, and the Davenport Police Department have partnered to help you become more informed of what to look for, and what steps to take if you find yourself in a scam.

We invite you to an afternoon of informative presentations by professionals, who know what’s happening both nationally and locally, and to instruct you of what to do if you find your information has been compromised. Sally Leme, volunteer for AARP’s Fraud Prevention, Cpl. Hank Jacobsen from the Davenport Crime Prevention Unit and Larry Randazzo, Vice President, Chief Deposit Officer and Tricia Edge, Vice President, Information Systems Manager for Northwest Bank and Trust will present April 9th, from 11:00-1:30 with the program starting at 11:30 at the Bettendorf Public Library, rooms Gilbert and Lillienthal. A light lunch is included so registration is required by April 7th.
