150 Years of Innovation – Quad City Botanical Center, Rock Island, IL. Established by Congress in 1862, the Rock Island Arsenal has supported the U.S. military for more than 150 years. Over that time, the Arsenal has been called on time and time again to respond to the ever-changing needs of the U.S. soldier and has always answered the call. Come discover how constant innovation has supported our nation’s military from the development of infantry equipment to ordnance systems to armor kits that saved the lives of thousands.
