Annual Picnic

At long last the time is nearing for the postponed Quad-City Plus 60 Club Annual Picnic that we all missed last year during the onset of the Pandemic. Your Board and officers are looking forward to seeing you this fall, and the Picnic committee has been busy making all the arrangements for a great time!

There will be no worries about the weather as we will again use the spacious Starlite Ballroom at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, 2815 Locust Street, Davenport, Iowa to take advantage of the plentiful parking, climate-controlled environment, wood dance floor, lots of tables and chairs, convenient restrooms, staffed bar, and a stage to support a live band for great music for your listening pleasure and to lure you out on to the dance floor!

The doors will open on Wednesday, October 6th at 3:30 p.m. with time to grab a beverage, renew acquaintances, make new friends, and visit our sponsor tables before meal service begins at 5:00 p.m. Jeff’s Market will be serving a delicious picnic menu of a roasted chicken breast sandwich, baked beans, chips, and potato salad. Be sure to leave some room for cake and a Whitey’s Ice Cream cup for dessert!

We are delighted to announce that Gray Wolf will be playing on stage from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. So, be sure to wear your toe-tapping dancing shoes for a fun evening!

Not a current member? Save the $3 on the picnic registration by first visiting the Club’s website at www.qcplus60.com, clicking on MEMBERSHIP, choosing the New Member option and scrolling down to apply and pay only $10 for an individual or $15 for a household couple for a 3-year membership using a credit card. You can then indicate “Applied” for a Membership Number on the Picnic Registration Form and pay the Club Member $15 rate.

All registrants will be automatically entered into free door prize drawings, and each registrant will receive two beverage tickets, each of which can be exchanged at the bar for a bottled water or soft drink beverage, or can be alternatively applied as a $2 credit against purchasing alcoholic beverages at the cash bar throughout the evening of festivities.
